AI Supports Strategic Efforts During Early Review Stages
NEW YORK, November 10, 2022 – FRONTEO (TSE: 2158) has announced it has released an updated version of its proprietary AI review tool, "KIBIT Automator", that further improves the accuracy of its AI "Landscaping" algorithm.
In the review business of digital forensics (information maintenance and analytical investigation targeting information captured on digital devices), it is important to accurately find relevant evidence material from vast sets of data in an efficient manner. KIBIT Automator is a solution that utilizes AI to identify the optimal document quantity for manual review by locating likely responsive documents with high accuracy. FRONTEO has continuously improved AI engines used in its KIBIT Automator to improve the accuracy of analyses that contribute greatly to the reduction of labor costs and overall review support.
FRONTEO’s new Landscaping algorithm has improved classification accuracy significantly while still retaining the traditional advantages of fast and light computation (see below illustration based on FRONTEO test data). This is particularly useful in the early stages of review during which the development and implementation of document review strategies occur.
During this early stage of review, there are often cases in which the quality or quantity of training data introduced to the AI is inadequate or incomplete. Even under these circumstances, FRONTEO’s new Landscaping algorithm can repeatedly conduct trials and fine-tune high-precision AI modeling, which allows FRONTEO to achieve optimal document review analyses on a case-by-case basis. This efficiency gain provides more information upfront that assists with early decision-making points, such as determining reviewer assignment to specific data sets or the optimal order in which data should be reviewed.
