Steven F. Cherry has over 30 years of experience in successfully representing companies and individuals in government investigations and complex litigation, class actions, and arbitration. He has particular expertise in defending companies and individuals in antitrust criminal investigations and civil litigation. April Williams has significant experience representing companies and individuals in complex civil and criminal cases, and in investigations throughout the United States and abroad. She has counseled and represented clients in a wide variety of government investigations, including investigations by the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Williams has also handled sensitive internal reviews into a variety of matters, including workplace culture issues, and provides clients with strategic compliance counseling. She has represented clients at various stages of litigation, including discovery, motions practice, trial preparation and sentencing.
Ms. Williams chairs the Washington DC office’s Diversity Committee and co-chairs the firm’s Racial Justice Reform Initiative.

Claire Bergeron’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters, including those arising under the Sherman and Clayton Antitrust Acts, the Antiterrorism Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Ms. Bergeron has extensive experience researching and writing dispositive motions, briefs and white papers, and she has handled a broad array of discovery matters. She has also represented clients in connection with investigations and enforcement matters conducted by the US Department of Justice and the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Bergeron is a co-author of the North America chapter in the forthcoming Edward Elgar Publishing “Research Handbook on Cartels.”
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Bergeron was an associate policy analyst at the Migration Policy Institute in Washington, where she co-authored several key publications on US immigration enforcement, naturalization trends and integration issues. She also previously worked as a Board of Immigration Appeals accredited representative at the National Immigrant Justice Center in Chicago.
