FRONTEO(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Masahiro Morimoto, hereinafter FRONTEO) is pleased to announce s that it held a joint session video recording event with a leading U.S. law firm Covington & Burling LLP (Headquartered in Washington, D.C., USA; Management Committee Chair: Doug Gibson). The event, which was held at Covington & Burling's Los Angeles, CA, office, aimed to provide an overview of the latest litigation cases and trends for Japanese companies.
At the event, six U.S. based lawyers with a wealth of experience and specialized knowledge used their expertise to explain the latest cases and trends on important topics such as class actions, intellectual property, litigation insurance, litigation under the Biden administration, M&A, and trade secret protection, all of which business professionals who areis responsible for legal affairs in Japanese companies with overseas operations should know. The lectures, followed by a moderated discussion by FRONTEO, were specially designed to take into account the unique circumstances of Japanese business professionals. FRONTEO will continue to work with Covington & Burling to provide useful information to Japanese business professionals. We have a plan to hold a similar event in collaboration with its San Francisco and Palo Alto offices in April. In addition to the regular video recording sessions, we also plan to offer study sessions by inviting some Japanese business professionals to attend and having socializing opportunities to connect business professionals in Japanese companies with talented U.S. based lawyers.
