“KIBIT XAMINER” inherits the accuracy of Japanese processing and AI analysis features of our previous on-premises forensics tool, “Lit i View XAMINER” while further improving processing speed and classification performance. Improvements to the proprietary AI engine “KIBIT”, which is installed in the tool, have made it possible to identify documents that are relevant to evidence more efficiently than previous products, even in the early stages of document review when training data may not be sufficiently available.
In addition, text data from chat applications has been added to the list of target document formats that can be analyzed, further increasing support for review operations. As a result of the significant adoption of chat applications in the business scene due to the change in working methods brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, chat data has become an increasingly important target for digital forensic investigation. Text data of communication tools such as e-mail and chat are more varied than general documents, and chat documents are more difficult to analyze since information is exchanged in a short period of time and often has an incomplete sentence structure. “KIBIT XAMINER” is an on-premises forensics tool for AI-powered digital forensic investigation and is the first product developed in Japan that can analyze even chat documents. *
In digital forensics, such as e-discovery in international litigation or investigation of the causes of a security incident, it is often necessary to review a vast amount of data with high accuracy in a short period of time. However, as digital tools are used in many business operations these days, the volume of target data continues to grow, and it is becoming unrealistic to conduct data review by human eyes alone in an emergency. FRONTEO is committed to developing and improving its AI solutions and providing high-quality services to help companies reduce their workload and improve efficiency in handling increasingly complex and diverse litigation and investigations.
