【FRONTEO‘s design philosophy】
FRONTEO deployed its proprietary AI engine under the name "KIBIT", combining the Japanese words "kibi", meaning subtle movements of the human mind, and "bit", meaning the smallest unit of information, to express its determination to develop "artificial intelligence that understands human subtleties". FRONTEO's researchers have consistently believed since the beginning of development, that human judgment and thought processes have a superior ability to appropriately process unclear or imprecise information and have developed algorithms that enable processing of this type of datausing a mathematical approach, making it the core technology of the AI engine. This enables our KIBIT-equipped products to analyze data with high speed and high accuracy in an ordinary computer environment without the need for supercomputers and other extensive computational infrastructure,, and to support experts in their advanced decisions and work.
【Background of AI engine/product name change】
Based on this design concept, FRONTEO developed "Landscaping" and "Illumination Forest" algorithms, which were deployed to support product lines within the LegalTech AI and Business Intelligence organizations. In addition to creating additional unique algorithms such as "Concept Encoder", which contains characteristics required in the Life Sciences AI business, and "Looca Cross" which was designed to support the Economic Security organization, FRONTEO has developed and provided AI system solutions equipped with these algorithms that contribute to business activity workflows and problem solving opportunities for client companies and organizations.
We have decided to unify and change the name of KIBIT, as detailed in the below charts, to further realize our design concept and increase awareness of the KIBIT brand to FRONTEO customers.
